Here For You
Electrical Stimulation
Electrical stimulation, or E-stim, uses electrical currents to cause the muscles to contract. It is one of the modalities offered at Greenwood Rehab. This helps with muscle control, muscle atrophy, range of motion, and increased muscle strength. The electrodes are placed over the patient's problem areas to deliver electrical stimulation. This therapy goes on for 20 minutes.
Physical Therapy
The physical therapy that we provide is myofascial release, as described on the pervious page. We also have machines to workout with before or after treatment if the patient wishes to. Myofascial release physical therapy can be used to treat a number of conditions: acute or chronic neck/back pain, tingling or numbness, sports injuries, scoliosis, scar tissue complications, post-surgery complications, myofascial pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, etc.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is another modality offered at Greenwood Rehab. This uses ultrasonic waves to break up current scar tissue. It can even work to prevent further buildup of scar tissue. This modality is applied for 6-8 minutes total to different problem spots on the patient.
